Overview

The wireless touch probe system includes a CNC 3D edge finder probe and an infrared receiver. It supports NC/NO signal output, NPN/PNP wiring modes, and compact installation for desktop CNC machines.

Wireless Probing

Infrared signal transmission helps reduce cable interference around the spindle and work area.

3D Measuring

Supports ±X, ±Y and ±Z measuring directions for edge finding and workpiece alignment.

Rechargeable Design

Built-in 900 mAh Li-ion battery with Type-C 5V/1A charging and long standby time.

Flexible Output

Receiver supports NPN, PNP, NC and NO signal modes for different CNC control systems.

Operation Notes

Warning

Probe use is prohibited while the spindle is rotating. For supported systems, NC normally closed wiring is recommended because it usually has a shorter relative delay.

NPN wiring: COM connects to system signal GND. The system probe input signal connects to NC or NO according to the selected mode.
PNP wiring: COM connects to system signal VCC. The system probe input signal connects to NC or NO according to the selected mode.
Charging: Use Type-C 5V/1A charging. Fast charging is not supported. Red light indicates charging, green light indicates full charge.
Low battery: Green light indicates normal trigger. Red light indicates low battery when voltage is ≤2.9V.
Receiver wire: Red is 5–24V+, black is GND, white is COM, green is NC, and yellow is NO.
Installation: Install the receiver on the side or top of the machine without blocking parts. Test reception before final M4 screw fixing.
Accuracy adjustment: The probe is adjusted before shipment, but concentricity should be readjusted to 0.01 mm after receiving the product.

FAQ

Common questions about wireless CNC touch probe setup, compatibility, and daily use.

What CNC machines can use this wireless touch probe?

It is suitable for desktop CNC milling machines, small CNC machining centers, and control systems that support probe input signals.

Does the receiver support both NC and NO signals?

Yes. The receiver supports NPN, PNP, NC, and NO signal modes, making it easier to match different CNC controllers.

Can the probe be used while the spindle is rotating?

No. The probe should not be used while the spindle is rotating. Always stop the spindle before probing or edge finding.

How accurate is the wireless touch probe?

The repeatability is less than 0.01 mm. After receiving the probe, concentricity should be checked and adjusted before precision use.

How is the probe charged?

The probe uses Type-C 5V/1A charging. Fast charging is not supported. Red light means charging, and green light means fully charged.
